Enjoy Christmas in a Winter Wonderland

We enjoyed our first snowfall here at the St. Joe Overlook today. (Full disclaimer, it was not much snow, and the photos here are from last year). The St. Joe Overlook vacation rental in Southwest Michigan is located on seven acres overlooking the St. Joseph River, which makes Winter a sight to behold. Christmas time here in Southwest Michigan is beautiful! Our many trees and views out to the river make for the perfect setting for anyone looking to enjoy the Holidays in Wintery-fashion.

There are plenty of activities here at the River during Winter. Several excellent wineries are within a 15 minute drive, Notre Dame’s beautiful campus is also 15 minutes away, and the surrounding area has incredible restaurants. Hiking, board games, and ice skating are some of our favorites for this time of year. One of our personal favorite things to do in the area is to go hiking at the Warren Dunes! Afterward, head right across the street to Haymarket for some very good pizza.

The dunes are a much different experience than during the Summer, but catching Lake Michigan in Winter is definitely worth it.
