Sledding at the Dunes

Snow! We get plenty of it here in Southwest Michigan, and we love finding fun things to do in the snow. Our vacation rental here in Michigan is a short drive from several beaches on Lake Michigan, Weko beach, the Warren Dunes, and the Indiana Dunes to name a few. One of our favorite spots to visit is the Warren Dunes.

Just like our guests here at the St. Joe Overlook, we love the outdoors and we try to get outside as much as possible, which becomes more of a challenge in single degree temperatures. But one of our favorite things to do during the Winter months is to go sledding at the Dunes!

This year, we discovered another great place to sled in Saugatuck, Michigan. For this one, we had to drive a bit further than usual, but we were able to stop at The Mitten Brewing company for an outstanding lunch, and then to the beach for some unbelievable sledding.

With little ones in toe, there were only a few close-calls, and we had an absolute blast. We would highly recommend this adventure to our guests in need of some fun in the snow.
